Which of the following statements is most true of RNA?

Each RNA nucleotide encodes for an amino acid (or "stop")

mRNA is processed before it is translated

mRNA serves as the template for transcription

rRNA is read by the ribosomal complex

tRNA carries nucleotides to the growing peptide chain

Answer #1

1. mRNA is processed before it is translated is most true of RNA because, When gene gets transcribed in the transcript it is generally doesn't considered as mature mRNA it is called pre-mRNA.

2. This transcript or pre-mRNA has to go some modifications to convert into mature mRNA.

3. The modifications include -

a. Splicing,

b. 5' capping,

c. 3' addition of poly-A tail.

These modifications protect the mRNA while transporting from nucleus to cytoplasm where translation starts.

1- Which of the following statements about the use of synthetic polynucleotides in cracking the genetic code is true? Group of answer choices Particular codons are generated in predictable ratios with random RNA polymers containing specific ratios of different nucleotides. Poly(A) RNA directs the synthesis of only polylysine in vitro. Three different amino acids are incorporated into peptides when synthetic polymers of only one nucleotide are used to synthesize the RNA primer. The codon table was completed by using RNA...
