Answere :
Diffusion is a physical process where molecules moves from a region of higher concentration to one of lower concentration i.e. along the concentration gradient.
The rate of diffusion depends on various factors, for example : Concentration of solute molecules (i.e. concentration gradient), Size of solute molecules, Temprature etc.
Two important variables that effect rate of diffusion are :
I. Temprature : It increase the kinetic energy of the molecules so molecules moves faster. Therefore, molecules moves easily and quickly so rate of diffusion increases.
II. Concentration gradient : With increase in the concentration gradient (i.e. increasing amount of solute molecules in the solution) more molecules will moves, so the rate of diffusion is also increases.
