Which steps use up ATP?

In which steps is ATP generated? How much ATP is generated?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In glycolysis, the first step whihc is conversion of D-glucose to Glucose 6 phosphate utilizes ATP. Step 3 conversion of fructose 6 phosphate to fructose 1,6 bisphospahte also utilizes ATP.

ATP egenration: Step 7: Conversion of 1,3 Bisphosphoglycerate to 3- Phospho glycerate in presence of Phosphoglycerate kinase produces ATP. Step 10: Conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to Pyruvic acid in presence of Pyruvate kinase produces ATP.
