The answer is true because due to modernising economic system because there are now resources available to the farmers so that they can overcome the drought by use of pesticides making the crops resistant to pests. Due to modernising economic system we can also see new irrigation methods which makes the crops resistant to droughts which are due to less rainfall. It is also due to modernising economic system that the farmers can use machines in their farms to cultivate crops.
