why does depolarization occur and how does it occur, where it occurs and what is its relationship to muscle contraction
Depolarisation occurs in the T-tubule membranes of the Sarcoplasma or the skeletal muscle plasma membrane. This occurs as result of Action Potential which carries the signal for Muscle Contraction. When the Action potential reaches Sarcoplasma it depoarises te T-tubule membranes opening up the Ca++ channel, this drives the contraction of Skeletal muscles through the Actin-Myosin microfilament action. This is how depolarisation is related to Muscle Contraction.
