Question

what's photosynthesis

what's photosynthesis

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Photosynthesis is an anabolic process done by the autotrophs including green plants and certain other organisms. This process converts light energy into chemical energy, which is then utilized in the body. During photosynthesis, the green plants capture the sunlight and using the carbon dioxide, water from the environment, they produce the glucose, an energy rich carbohydrate compound. Along with it some oxygen is also produced. This glucose is either directly used in their metabolism or stored in form of starch for future use.
