Describe the structure of a “typical” eukaryotic protein-coding gene, including all potential regulatory regions. Indicate where the RNA polymerase II preinitiation complex interacts.
The structure of a typical eukaryotic gene consists of sequencs which is present in exons and that is interrupted by introbs and it has promotors on it's structure. It appears as clusters but it has control in individual forms. It doesn't contain operons or polycistronic mRNA as in prokaryotes. Introns region is found longer than exons region and when they splice together, exon forms a single protein coding regions where in introns will get splivedout from mRNA. It has 5 prime cap at the starting of mRNA and a polyadenosine tail at the end of mRNA.
