Describe the role of TAM [tumor associated macrophages] in comparison to regular macrophages

Normal macrophages positively helps to develop immune responds against foreign particles. It is a type of wbc which digest or destroy foreign particles, cancer cells and other harmful proteins and protects our body. It helps in adaptive immune responds, phagocytosis for engulfing, regeneration of several tissues like muscles and healing. On the other hand TAM (tumor associated macrophages) has involve in cancer and cancer associated inflammation. It causes cancer cell to proliferate, tumor invasion and metastasis. It targets healthy cells and spreads tumour to the other part of body.
