Answer #1

Usually there is tiny amounts of B12 in any food that contains quantities of the B vitamin complex. Some bacteria in the small intestine also produce vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is produced in our body and is absorbed with the help of intrinsic factor produced by stomach lining. At times the deficiency might occur due to problem in the absorption of vitamin B12. In the present day life, due to environmental factors and stress levels our requirment of B12 has increased i.e. our B12 needs are higher than our body's ability to supply B12. This might be the reason of B12 insufficiency in some people.
