What gametes might an individual with the genotype TtBB produce?

A) Tt only

B) BB only

C) Tt or BB

D)TB or tB

E) TB, Tb, tB, or tb

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Option C-TB or tB.

Individual with genotype TtBB.Here there is 2 Charecters-

1 charecter is controlled by Tt & other charecter is controlled by BB

Here,From this individual Either T or t is passed in to the gamete.(Only one of the allele responsible for a Charecter segregates to the Gametes)

[Mendels law of Segreation states allele pairs separate or segregate during formation of gamete and randomly unite during fertilization]

Similarly from the Pair of Allel BB,Only B is Formed in the Gamete.(Both alleles represent B)

So that either T & B is present in the Gamete Or t & B are present in the Allele.(Never T & t Will be present in the gamete because According to Law of segregation, allele pairs seperate during Gametogenesis)
