Steps to diagnose Chlamydia.

For chlamydia, there is no test that is home based. The steps in diagnosis of chlamydia are:

• Collection of specimen. Specimen would be collected in a manner that there should be maintenance of the specimen as these would be kept cold with the aim to minimise the duration between specimen collection as well as processing.
• This is followed by transportation of the Sample
• Subsequently storage and processing

Collection of sample would be done using swabs, which would be in the form of urethral swab or vag-inal swab. Also, a urine test could be used for detection.

Symptoms would be observed to reach at further decisions.

One of the most common tests used are nucleus acid amplification tests. Also, for women, many of the professionals would be preferring cervical samples.
