Which of the following is found in mammals during male gamete formation?

Question 52 options:

Two successive centrosome duplications during meiosis

Accumulation of yolk during gamete formation

Generation of a polar body during meiosis I

Formation of four functional gametes from a primary germ cell

Temporary arrest of meiosis at the metaphase I stage

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The correct option is :- formation of four functional gametes from a primary germ cell.

The male germ cells undergoes spermatogenesis in the testes and form four functional sperm cells.

Rest other processes takes place in females like generation of polar body and temporary arrest of meiosis at metaphase stage whereas duplication of centrosome takes place in mitosis. Accumulation of yolk occurs in oviparous females. So the only process that takes place in male is the formation of four functional gametes from a primary germ cell.
