Anther is the male reproductive organ of an angiosperm. It is present in flowers. It is a part of androecium or stamen. It is a bilobed tetrasporangiate structure which contains the microspore mother cell. These are diploid cells which undergo meiosis to form pollen grains.

There will be pairs of chromosome present in cells inside anther. These cells will be undergoing meiosis to form pollen grains.
