The animal breeding methods can be basically divided into two types,

  1. Natural breeding methods that include “inbreeding, and outbreeding”

2.Artificial breeding methods that include multiple ovulation embryo transfer technology (MOET). This includes transplantation of the embryo and superovulation.

Artificial insemination is done by using the animals of selective breeds. It ensures the progeny with approximately required characteristics. It is also financially feasible as the semen taken from one animal can be used to inseminate several hundred or animals at far off places.
