Answer÷} George palade discovered ribosomes as a small particle in the cytoplasm of the cell found associated with endoplasmic reticulum. It is also found freely scattered in the cytoplasm.

Ribosomes are made up of ribosomal RNA and protein. They acts as a builder connecting various amino acid in the directed way to form protein and thus it also act as a "protein factory".

Ribosomes are special because they are found in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell.
