Ans. During the development of the embryo the blastocyst that forms the fetus is also the precursor for development of mammalian fetal placenta. The fetal placenta is connected to the fetus side and also called as Chorion frondosum.

Function of Placenta :

Placenta help fetus to get its nutrition through the blood.

It helps fetus to respire and also to remove waste products

Helps to metabolise various substances and can release metabolic products into maternal and/or fetal circulations.
