Epithelium is type of tissue of animal. They present in the lines of cavities and blood vessels.

There are three basic shapes of epithelium

A. Squamous epithelium : cells are width is higher than height

B. Coloumnar epithelium: cells are taller than width.

C. Cuboidal epithelium: in this type both heigh and width near about is same.

Epithelium is present in dermis skin.

These tissue are originated from germ layers namely ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm.

Functions: To protect dessication and toxins.

They provide sensation to body.

They measure role in the secretion of hormones.
