The Golgi apparatus is fragmented into small vesicles due to the depolarization of the microtubules as the juxtanuclear localization of the Golgi apparatus is disrupted. The fragments/ vesicles of Golgi are composed of stacked cisternae that are small and resembles the intact stacks of Golgi. When the drug causing the fragmentation is removed, the polymerization of the microtubules restarts and the fragments/vesicles of the Golgi apparatus translocate along with them, and the Golgi is reformed.
