Metastasis is a term for cancer which spread to a different part of the body from where it started

How meastasis develops: metastases develops when cancer cells from the tumor breaks and reaches to a different part via blood and lymphatic system where it gets lodged and developed into tumor.

Metastasis depends on type of cancer, fastness or aggressiveness of cancer etc.

How doctors name the metastasized cancer: Example if breast cancer metastasized to the liver the cancer will be named as " Metastatic breast cancer" but not as liver cancer.
