Why is it critical for complement proteins to be at a high concentration in the blood?
In other words, what are the potential consequences were they NOT at high concentrations?
Ans=The complement protein system is a branch of immune protein in the blood. That not only regulate the immune response of the body but also enhance the activities of host immune system against attack of pathogens.
The complement protein present in high concentration in the blood in order to confirm the following points-
1) Fast activation of immune response against infection of pathogen.
2) Activation of several branches of immune system in order to attain multi factorial immune response in the body.
Therefore we can say that if these complement protein are not present in high concentration then a rapid response of immune system will not be achieved and host may be affected with pathogens.
