The process of synthesis of aminoacids in living oragnams is mainly due to Transamination. During this transamination one amino group transfers form Glutamic acid to a organic acid, the glutamic acid turns in to a-ketoglutaric acid and that organic acid turns in to amino acid. Later a-ketoglutaric acid undergoes transamination and converts again into glucatimic acid.

Glutamic acid + Oxalo acetic acid <===> aspratic acid + a-ketoglutaric acid
