What is a vector? Give an example of a vector-borne disease and
name the vector responsible for transmission.
I believe the correct answer to be:
A vector is an organism or a medium that transfers the pathogen to its host while the vector remains unaffected by the pathogen so it basically helps the pathogen reach its target. Example is the disease malaria that is caused by Plasmodiun that spreads among the population with a help of female Anopheles mosquitoes that transfer the pathogen from one host to another when they bite the host.
