What is the most likely inheritance pattern of a trait with Gaussian proportional distribution of phenotypic forms?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer is polygenic inheritance

When phenotypes proportionally distributes it will give a( bell shaped curve) normal distribution pattern

When the phenotypes are following a normal distribution the inheritance will be a polygenic inheritance (quantitative inheritance) that is effect of several genes added to give variation in the phenotypes
