describe how initiation and elongation of DNA replication are carried out in bacteria

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Green color shows the origin of replication or ORI. It is the site where replication starts. There is formation of nick and DNA is polymerized in 5' to 3' direction and DNA polymerase polymerize the process. The two strands get separated and one set contain one copy of new DNA and parent DNA.
