what are the pros and cons of marine mammals in captivity? is there any justification for different types of captivity (research, military, marine parks/aquariums, resorts, swim with dolphin programs etc.)?

1) Help in research purposes

2) studying the behaviour of the marine animals.

3) selective breedings for human use purposes.

4) For food and culturing for essential products.

5) Leasure activities like swim with dolphin programme etc

Cons-

1) Violation of animal rights to be free.

2) No natural environment for them, resulting in reduced reproductive capabilities than natural.

3) Reduction in the biodiversity of the species in the natural habitats nearby , if the process is used for exploitation and aggr ssively used.

4) Increased Human and animal contact may spread diseases.

5) Ethical issues of captivating and control.
