  • According to the inheritance, genes come in unit called as alleles and one allele is inherit from one parent. For example, skin color is the trait that is inherited from parents.
  • My skin color is very white and this trait is inherited from my mother as her skin color is very white but my father skin color is not so fine. Skin color is a polygenic inheritance that is controlled by three different alleles.
  • Three different allele are A,B and C. The skin color will be dark when the genotype of person is AABBCC and very fair when genotype is aabbcc.
