Vultures are carrion eating scavenger birds that have a tropic or sub-tropic habitats. Most vultures often inhabit open country, living in groups on cliffs, in tall trees, or on the ground. The vulture group roaming around the sky can be called as kettle. The committee of vultures means they are resting on the ground. The third group, Wake refers to those vultures who feed on the prey combinedly.

Vultures have got important economic roles. They have significant role in human health and economy. These scavenger birds helps renive debris and unwanted carcasses from the environment. Thereby making the environment suitable for humans and sametime unsuitable for micro organisms that spread deadly diseases to humans and other domestic animals. It was reported that these birds have roles in controling detrimental diseases such as Anthrax, Botulism etc.
