The Chlorofluorocarbons and aerosols used in day to day life have created a hole in the ozone thus decrease this protective shield. The carbon dioxide produced by several man-made activities also develops a layer of blanket on the earth's surface thus the heat is not transferred back to the atmosphere and warms the surface leads to develop the greenhouse effect.
