Yes, if raw or undercooked beef or pork is eaten, which is already contaminated with Taenia solium or Taenia saginata, are prone to infection of taeniasis. Out of these species, most serius problem is caused by T. solium.

Tapeworm causes intestinal infections in humans and cystecercosis is cause when larval cysts of tapeworm, called cysticerci is ingested by humans, through raw beef or pork, infected with larval cysts of tapeworm.

Their symptoms include, constipation, nausea, diarrhoea ad abdominal pain. However, there are some non specific symptoms seen as well.
