Discuss the process of transcription of bacteria; what is the function of the RNA polymerase holoenzyme in this process?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Bacterial transcription : The transcription process in bacteria include the synthesis complementary strand of the RNA molecules from the DNA. During the transcription the strand of mRNA (messenger RNA) is synthesis by using the gene which store genetic information. The portion of cell DNA at a template principle and genetic information is stored in nitrogenous bases of DNA so such information appear in the sequence of mRNA.

The transcription of bacteria basically required enzymes which is commonly called the RNA polymerase enzyme .

The transcription process help to cell for production of short copies of the gene which directly used as protein synthesis. RNA nucleotides also help to begin transcription.

function of RNA polymerase and holoenzyme during transcription

The RNA polymerase enzymes is generally help to bind to DNA as a promotor.Enzyme RNA polymerase help to assemble of nucleiotides into specific new chain.

The enzyme RNA polymerase use the complementary base pair to the guide and RNA polymerase moves in DNA to further process.

The holoenzyme also act to initiate the synthesis of RNA.

RNA polymerase is incubated with a DNA template, all the necessary transcription factors, and the substrates: ATP, GTP, CTP, and UTP. Each ribonucleotide 5’-triphosphate substrate is labeled with 18O in the β-phosphate group and 13C in the ribose. What labeled RNA is produced? Group of answer choices: The newly synthesized RNA will have 13C-ribose at every nucleotide residue, but no 18O-atoms incorporated. The newly synthesized RNA will have an 18O-atom and a 13C-ribose at every nucleotide residue. The newly synthesized...
