Oligocene may be refer to as the transition period in which it act as link between archaic world and tropical eocene, here, the global temperature changes, ice melts and graslands started to convert them into forests.

here, elephant fossils like basilosaurids, gomphotherium,type of fossils are found, ape fossil proliopithicus was found, whale fossil name agaleocetus moreni was found,xenorophous whale fossil

while, in miocene, here extensive steppe vegetation started to appear, grasslands expand in the whole world except temperate regions where forest have started growing,ice is keep on melting, and dynamic changes is on,

here, ape fossil like luphengpithecus was found, elephant fossile megabelodon lullii was found, whale fossil of baleen whale was found, in plant we had ironwood frond fossil.

these were few of the examples of fossils found in the oligocene and miocene
