Answer #1

Answer-ancient genes has a role in evolutionary developmental biology.Ancient genes like pax-6 control the evolutionon. They generated the patterns in time and space which shape the embryo ,and ultimately form the body plan of organisms. This type of structural genes code for enzymes and regulate gene expression.besides ,some ancient genes plays a critical role in immune system regulation like the gene C6orf106 .It is an evolutionarily conserved inhibitor of the innate antiviral response.
