The phase of cleavage begins with what and ends with what?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans .Cleavage begins with the zygote, which is formed as a result of fertilization and it continues till the stage of Blastula formation.

Cleavage is the division of cells in the early embryo. The process follows fertilization , with the transfer being triggered by the activation of a cyclin - dependent kinase complex.

The different cells derived from cleavage are called blastomeres and form a compact mass called the morula.

Cleavage ends with the formation of Blastula.

The Blastula is a spherical layer of cells ( blastoderm ) surrounding a fluid- filled or yolk- filled cavity (the blastocoel).
