One of the reasons the vaccine debate is still ongoing is due to anti-vaxxers “moving the goalpost” (changing their argument every time one is disproven). Name one of these “goalposts” that they use to blame vaccines.
One of the reasons that they use to blame vaccines are that they think that the risks of vaccines outweigh the benefits of the vaccine as they think that vaccine is the cause of autism in the child which has been disproven. It was thought that MMR vaccine caused the autism, it is a vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella. Measles was eradicated back in the start of 21st century but several hundred of case were reported in 2014, and this happened just because the parents were unwilling to have their children vaccinated.
