Post a response (2-4 sentences each). You can start a discussion by pointing out additional reasons why you think this source is or is not credible. You can also suggest ways in which the site could be improved (is there information or are there sources they could have added? Are there different messages that would be more appropriate?). Write at least 1 response-post for each of the THREE “Part 1” posts you read (you will need at least 3 responses in total). For full marks, your posts must significantly contribute to the conversation, rather than simply be a “me too” response. Remember, the purpose of this assignment is to think critically.
Part 1A:
The nutritional website I have chosen to evaluate is Fit Tea. This site advertises tea products that are all organic and detoxifying, claiming to assist in weight loss if the tea is used daily. The Fit Tea site also guides you through common questions regarding use, preparation, health effects and much more.

Part 1B:
This claim does not make sense due to the following information found in small print at the bottom of the webpage. It is clearly stated that only accompanied with many other factors such as, exercise, proper diet, starting point, goals, and time and effort is what would make the Fit Tea work effectively (all things that could be achieved without the use of the Fit Tea product). There is also a disclaimer which states that the product has not been evaluated or approved by the FDA.
I would argue that the information on Fit Tea and its health benefits is not from a credible source as the site has been published and edited by the creator of the products and as stated before, has also not been reviewed by the FDA. Although frequently asked questions and reviews are included on the website, which could include useful or credible information, the site itself is not a credible source.
Yes, the Fit Tea website is trying to sell multiple products and includes many biases presented in information found on and off the official website. Many celebrities have raised the popularity of Fit Tea by advertising it on their social media forums, this includes big names such as the Kardashians. Overall, this has caused an exaggeration on the effects of the product and has caused an excitement to buy products of the Fit Tea brand without proper research before purchasing.
Part 1C:
I personally would not trust this source of information on Fit Tea as I believe the effects it claims to help you attain could be achieved without the use of the products. After looking over the Fit Tea website and its reviews specifically, I am simply more convinced that this tea speeds up the digestive process, causing you to feel less bloated along with a faster feeling of relief but does not necessarily make you more fit. Another factor that effects my trust in this source, as mentioned multiple times, is that it is not FDA approved.
