Belongs to the vertebrata group.

Basic morphology: Vertebrate with no limbs, have fins for different functions like pactoral fins, pelvic fins and dorsal fins.

Soft shiny skin with scales present on body.

Skin: Moist skin with scales and fins.

Respiration through gills present near mouth which helps in the exchange of gases and excretion.

Circulation : Heart is present and two chambers in heart. Gills involved in oxygenation and deoxygenation of blood.

Nitrogenous waste : Ammonia

Ammonia requires high amount of water to release it from body.

Thermal control: cold blooded or ectpthermic

Reproduction: By sexual reproduction, Formation of eggs and release of them outside the body.
