Answer #1

Question

Rabies, acute hepatitis A, acute hepatitis B is the disease for which active and passive immunization is given simultaneously. This is because active immunity arises naturally when someone exposed to virus and passive immunity is provided by the vaccination for the diseases. This benefits the patient in dual way. Both type of immunity provide better protection to the patient as compare to single type of immunity. The active immunity assure that patient have sufficient T, B cells along with antibodies that fight with infection when person first receive the infection whereas passive immunity assure that memory cells of immune system are already aware of the antigens of these diseases.
