It is also known as hypolobulated .
It is term given to abnormal neutrophils having few lobes i.e less than three lobes.
Normally neutrophils have more than three lobes.
Causes :- it may be acquired phenomenon due to burns , severe enjury , malignancy,severe infections,and drugs like sulphonamides
It may causes due to mutations in LBR gene which results in hyposegmented neutrophils along with mild skeletal symptoms.
Diagnosis :- it can be diagnosed by blood smear test.
