CAM is often not accepted by the dominant perspectives in the medical profession and within the medical school curriculum because  it is based on holistic approach of old times and practiced earlier . These were not exactly used as same form now a days and doesn't have much evidence . Modern drugs are not based on cultural evidence but is based on experiment and practicality.There are some other issues to i.e delegation of power related to the drugs and authorisation.
