Answer #1

As we all knows about symbiosis which is the source of evolutionary innovation. Some main innovation in animal evolution are- Evolution in symmetry, evolution of specific tissue, evolution in body cavity, Evolution in pattern of embryonic development and evolution in segmentation. Nematodes are the plant and animal parasite. Which involve sexual reproduction with sexual diamorphism. Complete digestive system is the main evolutionary innovation in nematodes with mouth and anus. The ingestion and the defecation which generally occurs in digestive tube, the complete digestive system of nematodes which enclose advantage of ingestion of new food although the residual of already eaten food are also inside the body and not so far excreted.

The addition of lungs and neural control of breathing has been viewed as an evolutionary advantage. However, examination of gas exchange membranes and circulation have suggested otherwise. a. Give an example of a group of organisms that contradict this evolutionary advancement; hence, lacking lungs, but yet utilize a gas exchange mechanism of the highest efficiency as compensation. b. In addition, discuss the limitations that hinder the above group when evolution intervened.
