Answer #1

Answer : The cellular organelle that is found only in eukaryotic cells but not in prokaryotic cells is " Golgi Body"

Explanation : Prokaryotic cells contains Circular DNA molecules which are concentrated in a region called Nucleoid, where as linear chromosomes are found in nucleus of ekaryotic cells. In addition, both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells contains ribosome which are 70S and 80S respectively.

Functions of Golgi bodies in Eukaryotic cells

  1. Golgi complex plays a significant role in reception, modification, packaging and dispatch of variety of macromolecules to different destinations within the cells and also for excretion.
  2. Involved in the synthesis of proteoglycans found in extracellular matrix and also a major site of carbohydrate biosynthesis
  3. In plants golgi apparatus is mainly involved in the secretion of primary and secondary cell wall materials.
