The seed helps a embryo to survive in harsh winters,droughts,and some other conditions.

The  seed allows embryo wait for the possible conditions to begin to grow.

The seeds are in a state of dormany until conditions for growth become favorable.

2. Gymnosperm seeds referred as naked seeds why because their ovule has no ovary wall both before and after fertilization.Their seeds are exposed to the environment.

3. A pollen grain contains the male gametes of seed plants.Pollen grains are microscopic structures.

It is a reproductive structure.
