Amphibian blood circulation is a double-loop circulation. Describe how this form of blood circulation works. pls help
Amphibians have double circulation or double loop system.
One system of the blood vessels carry deoxygenated or oxygen-poor blood from heart to the lungs. The deoxygenated blood is oxygenated here. This oxygenated or oxygen-rich blood is returned to the heart.
The another system of blood vessels carry this oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body parts (except lungs) from the heart. The oxygen is used up in the various parts of the body and deoxygenated blood is returned back to the heart.
The cycle again works the same way. The deoxygenated blood is sent to the various body parts form the heart where it gets oxygenated.
