Antibody is a specialized substance and it help to kill foreign invader like bacteria. Antibodies also play a major role in antibody mediated immunity during the infection.

The harmful bacteria is also killed by phogocytes process.immune system has a specialized immune proteins ( Acute phase proteins ) it is called the complement and during the infection antibodies bind to the surface of bacteria in opsonization process with the help of complement system.

Complement like C3 b it play major role in bacterial infection and it is proteins for opsonization.
