There is alot of difference between the fitness level of the young and older adults. Due to physiological changes related to aging in various organs of the body or the lifestyle adaptations such as smoking, alcohol would have had negative impacts on health of older adults.
It is found that Blood pressure in older adults who exercised regularly found a drop in systolic pressure by 10 to 20 mm Hg whereas in younger people it remained unaffected.
Also , the blood cholesterol levels dropped in case of older adults compared with younger adults.
Therefore, exercising for 30 to 45 minutes everyday for 4 to 5 days a week had benefits for both older and younger adults with older adults showing drop in systolic blood pressure and cholesterol levels which is good for cardiovascular health .
