What is the summary chemical equation for photosynthesis?
In photosynthesis, sugar like glucose and oxygen is synthesized by carbon dioxide and water in presence of sunlight using a pigment called chlorophyll.
Reaction for photosynthesis is :
6 CO2 + 6 H20 ---> C6H12O6 + 6 O2 ( In presence of sunlight and chlorophyll )
This reaction is completed in two phases of photosynthesis, light phase in which photolysis of water occur using sunlight and electrons from this lysis are used to produce ATP and NADPH & dark phase in which ATP and NADPH synthesized in light phase are used to produce glucose from CO2.
