Common Name: European larch

Family Name: Pinaceae – pine family

General Description: Larix decidua has cones and needle-like foliage.

It might look like an evergreen but European larch is a deciduous conifer.

Mature Height: 70-75 feet

Mature Width: 25-30 feet

Foliage: Deciduous (seasonally loses leaves)

Native Locale: Non-native

The bark, stripped of its outer layer, is astringent, balsamic, diuretic, expectorant, stimulant and vulnerary.
