• Protein -lipid interactions (hydrophobic interactions) : membrane spanning region of membrane bound proteins contains mostly hydrophobic amino aicds which makes possible to stabilize the protein membrane bounded by hydrophobic interactions.
• Ligand binding to its receptor via electrostatic, van der waals, or hydrophobic interactions.
