bacteria are small unicellular organisms, belonging to the domain Bacteria, and they lack a well-defined nucleus, it has circular chromosomes and it is called the nucleoid, and has 70S ribosomes since bacteria lack a nucleus, transcription and translation occurs in the cytosol, and transcription and translation can occur simultaneously.

Bacteria have cell wall made of peptidoglycan, it can have flagella or cilia for locomotion. Fimbria helps bacteria to attach to surfaces.

Capsule, or slime layer protects bacteria from dehydration.
