Answer #1

All stetments are true about proteins in cells.

Messenger proteins, such as some types of hormones, which transmit signals to coordinate biological processes between different cells, tissues, and organs. Proteins act as enzymes, which function as catalysts that increase the rate of the chemical reactions within cells. RNAs are capable of catalyzing biological reactions by proteins. They also help in the formation of new molecules by reading the genetic information, which is stored in DNA. Complex organic food molecules such as proteins are rich sources of energy for cells because much of the energy used to form these molecules is stored within the chemical bonds. Proteins are polymers composed of long chains of amino acids.

Biochemistry: (True/False) Proteins need to be in a controlled environment that is similar to that which they came from. By lowering the temperature of the environment you can speed up the rate of all chemical reactions that are occurring in that mixture, therefore speeding up proteolysis and the rate of degradation.
